A paradise overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in the middle of natural reserve Ria Formosa. Located at the coast of the Algarve in Portugal, 500 meters from the miraculous coastline of Fabrica. Quinta Zacarias is the palace that Architect Jan Krielaars builds for his wife Anna Zachariasse. In their absance Quinta Zacarias can host your next sunny friends or family holiday retreat up to 14 guests. 


Quinta Zacarias is a private guest house. It is neither a hotel nor a professional company. You may visit  the house as a friend of the family. You’ll have the option to explore, unwind, discover, relax, etc. It’s all up to you.

This is one of the most amazing places I’ve been to so far. The apartments are very warm and nicely decorated. There’s see view and the garden has a lot of many terraces. Nice pool and the most beautiful flowers. The shared living room is space full and the open kitchen has everything a cook wants. Absolutely loved it

Begin juni voor 4 nachten verbleven wij in het Afrika appartment: wow wat een uitzicht op zee! De locatie is top als je van rust en landelijk houdt. Met klein kwartiertje lopen is er een geweldige tapasbar met uitzicht op zee. Ook een wandeling door de lagune met eb is helemaal geweldig: je waant je in Jurassic Park net de duizenden krabbetjes die heen en weer rennen. De service vanuit de familie en met name door Caspar is geweldig! Door zijn tips hebben wij elke dag mooie trips kunnen maken en onze buiken 2x per dag vol gegeten. Quinta Zacarias is a beautiful house with a lot of history. It immediately feels like home. A lot of attention goes to atmosphere and details and you feel the love that the family have put into it. The Quinta is located near the beach which makes it easy to take a walk and enjoy nature. All other sight seeing is also easy to acces by car. I would definitely return to Quinta Zacarias!

WOW! Quinta Zacarias is a real hidden gem! I loved the African Appartement with the old wood and glass doors, all the colors and really enjoyed waking up with the smell of the orange tree blossom. We had so much fun with the pizzaoven, the swimming pool, the arts and crafts-corner and got cosy around the fireplace inside the Oriental Room. Also had really good contact with the neighbor Eduardo. This place really is one of a kind, not a typical impersonal house rental with just the basics. You can feel all the hours of work, the love for Portugal and in the family. No doubt if I go back, would love to share this place with friends and other loved ones.
